Assistance for food supplements

In Italy, food supplements can be marketed only after legal notification to the Ministry of Health, that is the Competent Authority assessing the conformity of formulation and claims to the current regulations. In case of positive outcome, the notified supplement will be included in the Register of food supplements available in the official website of the Ministry of Health.

Food supplement notification is also required in many other Member States and extra-EU countries, subject to the product marketing.
