Animal Feeds
Animal feeds do not need to be notified to the Ministry of Health in order to be marketed in Italy, however they should follow strict European regulations on composition and labelling claims.
In fact, safety and marketing restrictions are provided for these products as well, especially in the case of food-producing animals. Regulation (EC) no. 767/2009 and other dedicated legislation establish the rules ensuring that these products are safe, healthy, harmless, correctly labelled and packaged.
